Never played but want to learn. Very big here in Raleigh.
As a beginner and seeing if I would like pickle ball, don’t want to go to higher end paddle but one good for beginner, but nice enough paddle I get good experience in trying game.

Is there a standard measure of the surface for how rough it is? For example, the roughness of sandpaper is measured by the "grit" number.

This helped me to pick a racket. I'm a beginner, just got a Gamma Quest for $38. Seems to be light enough and the grip feels good too. Does anyone else use one, what was it like for you?
