Woohay I am Tom Tempest! Massive TBM fan so it was bizarre to hear my post picked - big smile on my face as I was listening to this prepping our frosthaven scenarios for our next session 😅

Julian's thoughts on Castles of Burgundy have done a complete U turn. After a bad teach he thought it wasn't for him, but I convinced him to give it another try and now we have the big box deluxe version and both absolutely love it!

I was taught wingspan on a family trip by someone who didnt know how to play wingspan. We did not enjoy that play, but have since relearned wingspan and now my wife and i enjoy it a ton!

Slight correction to the Murph's coverage of Leviathan Wilds. The idea of expanding and customizing the deck over multiple plays is not present in the final product, that was part of the initial crowd funding version where it was a campaign game.

I've had a few bad teaches. Usually willing to give another try if this happens. One time three of us on TableTop Sim were trying to figure out how to play Tang Garden. None of us had played it. Turns out none of us were good at learning via written instructions. There was a fourth person to start out, she left. I learn better by watching so I got on YouTube and started watching a play through. Mind you the play through was like two hours and I got through almost the whole thing. :) As we are playing I realize we're doing this wrong. I let the others know what the video is saying and we continue the game. It is my all time favorite game though. I ran out immediately and bought it used. I know one of the others that played it with me now teaches it to others. I'm jealous that he plays it more than I do. I need to ask the third if he plays it.

Side note. One friend and I have been watching short walk throughs before we play a new game. It helps us so much.
