C63 AMG Downpipe Install - step by step, no trans removal

Installing aftermarket downpipes on a C63 AMG. This is the DIY method, no hoist, no removing the transmission. You'll need a reciprocating saw to cut the downpipes in half, as well as a socket set with 12-point sockets, and an o2 socket.

Car also has carbon fibre intakes and an ECU tune, sound clips at the end

I'm wondering if u can remove the transmission mount bracket on the tail housing loosen the motor mounts and tilt the tailhousing downward(alot) to give u enough room to pull the downpipes out. Weither it be thru the top or the bottom. Looks like it's doable if u can tilt the trans enough.

bro im on it rigth now, is my first, i just cut all out and i have to put evrything back, took me 2 h thil now ...if you have the tools it will take like 5-6 h alone on the flor.... nice job! in the future focus on the job not arround...but nice job!

Hi great video thanks for sharing. Can you tell me how you removed the back heat shield? I just spend 4 hours with a friend on it and we could finish it because we couldn't remove the shield to get to the second O2 sensor. There was no way for us to get a wrench in that small space. How did you do it?

I’m having trouble installing the new pipes from the driver side due to the steering link, anybody had this issue if so how do i get through it

Before I cut the original pipes, I really would take out the transmission. Tajts what? 800 bucks in labour? 8000 bucks for new original pipes. Not my kind of job
