Sometimes a just fun book is the best book.
I like that Ben Stiller movie.

Great plan of attack there Susan. Would don Quixote be more suited to a fall/winter read and have the summer for mood reading or short stories. Enjoyed the van. 🚙📖❤📚

I just got Nghi Vo’s new book “Siren Queen” ! I am about 50 pages in and once again, as in “The Chosen and the Beautiful” I am hypnotized. Love her writing! Also reading “Elektra” based on your recommendation. 💕

I spotted 👀 the Dickens biography by Ackroyd on your shelves, the unabridged one 👌🏻. I read it for Victober 2 years ago and although I am not a fan of reading non fiction, this one had me captivated from start to finish. Super interesting and readable. If you haven’t read it yet it yet, then highly recommended Susan!

“Sometimes it’s just fun to read a story”. YESSSS. As a romance reader, I’m ALL for ludacris plot points that are fun to read haha. (But speaking about classics, I’m reading The Count of Montecristo in June and I’m so excited!)

Hi Susan, very curious if you finished Don Quixote. I poked around your channel to find an update or review and couldn’t find one. I’m reading it right now and having very similar opinions and thoughts as you… looking for encouragement to finish😅.

Love your channel. Happy reading.

I think vlogging your journey through Don Quixote would be a fun one! And maybe it will inspire me to read it, too, lol. Btw, after you mentioned the Alice Munro short story collection, I found one in a free library today!! 😊

The camper made it back up the hill! 😂 I haven’t read Don Quichotte as we call him in French… I had so many good plans for 2022 but my reading isn’t going very well so big books will have to wait! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I want to read more short stories because I want to get back to trying to write them, lol. I haven't written any short stories since university for my writing class. I find them difficult and need to study some more good ones! Currently reading The Black Cat (short story) by Poe for part of Horror MAYhem :)

Nice to see you two days in a row! I swore off all readathons and reading challenges for all of 2022, so I'm not participating in the short story one you're doing, but I look forward to hearing which collections you loved the most. I used to read quite a lot more short stories than I do now. Maybe you'll find one that will inspire me to get back into them.
btw, I returned the Sylvia P. book to the library yesterday, unread. I had it for a 28-day loan period and just could never work up enough interest to read it. I kept looking through it, reading bits and pieces, and the writing style just was not appealing to me at this time. Maybe I'll give it another try in the future.

Ok five star for the address fun and three for literary is probably fair but so very many books I have to suspend my belief so I am ok with that. Good luck with Don Quixote- probably just do it if you don’t want to dnf it. I am glad I pushed through but glad it’s over too.

I agree completely on Fiona Davis's book. I've enjoyed reading all of hers. The Address is actually my least favorite of hers, but still enjoyed it.
