humans other races do magic better than humans unless you use a blue mage, main reason i didnt include magic classes is for this reason.

Some things I'm surprised Kai didn't mention.

Paladin can max hit (999) in a couple different ways, the easiest way is dual wielding excalibur 2 and excalibur and doing Holy Blade.

Also a Hunter using Strikeback is very strong since you can't be hit by arrows or melee attacks.

Anyone gonna talk about the massive snort at 00.59?

I like Hunter/Blue mage, sleeping 90% of the enemies thanks to concentrate and then let the other units finish the enemies and if one is far you can use something like smile and finish it with your hunter's Artema this combo is great in story but remember always carry the ring that negates the sleep status in your party is not as powerful as Paladin/ninja/Hunter but is more versatil and less slow

Paladin/Fighter is pretty sub-par honestly, as Fighter abilities don't scale well. Fighter/Hunter is less than amazing for the same reason. Paladin/Hunter raised as a Ninja with Concentrate (not W.Att+, since W.Att+ is really not great) means doing Ultima Shots/Blades from the front at 95% accuracy. Nothing worse than dumping 32MP on an attack that misses

In addition, while Double Sword is pretty cool, Concentrate is mathematically better. The +50 to accuracy from Concentrate means less misses, which means less MP wasted, less turns wasted, less damage received (since a dead enemy can't hurt you), and more time spent bursting the enemy down without worrying about position.

If you wanted a second Hume to run alongside the Paladin/Hunter, you can look at a Hunter/Blue Mage raised as a Hunter. Since the better Blue Mage abilities don't cars about your magic stat, you can use the Hunters skillsets and equips with the Blue Mage for support.

Just my 2 cents

High weapon attack Paladin with Blue mage sub class is the strongest in the game for sure. They can hit 9 movement, all of the important blue mage spells run off of weapon attack, and even the ultima attack from Paladins runs off of weapon attack. They become a one man army that decimates the battlefield.

I want to try a blue mage with a hunter at first wanted dual wield curve swords but damage probably wouldn’t be good then I though bow with blue magic I still can get ultima shot.

I would kie to ask something that isn´t clear to me Whice job should I raise each race because sometimes yo talk about ninja being one of teh best jobs and you recommend double sword but the combinations are not necesarily ninja so WHICH JOB SHOUD i TRAIN EACH RACE? tHANKS IN ADVANCE.first no joe intended but the I must say its reaaaaly intended. What do you mean by class combination? A character can only have a single class, right?

Kai I have a question. What’s your recommended max clan size? Excluding the 5 special characters of course

Humans are a tricky race to level? No, they are the most versatile of all, can do support, damage, utility all very well, Thief falls into niche category and can cripple an enemy by stealing his possessions, the rest falls into personal prefference, my opinion is that you should specialyze your character for one role rather than trying to teach everyone everything but to each it's own.

For leveling damage Fighter is the best attack pick, no discussion against a whooping 9, 5 weapon attack per lvl, his magic counterpart being the Illusionist, having the highest Magic atttack growth of 9 AND the second highest MP growth of the game for 7, 5 per level, suffering from having it's feet nailed to the ground for it has ZERO speed growth.

So my advice don't make everyone do everything because it won't fill your use when you make your White Mage a Fighter right at the start, for physical damage my pick would be a Fighter from the word go with Doublesword when avaliable, once you shank a enemy for nearly 600 damage with a basic attack per turn you start to wonder wether spending 99 MP was really necessary for the same result, unless obviously you like flashy animations and cool sounds from Ultima to wich case i would level him as a Blue Mage untill MP was 95 or so, so my damage won't suffer as much and ONLY for that long.

For the robe guys? Well there you got me, Black Mage or Illusionist would be my pick for hurting people, Illusionist so I can have MP and Black Mage so I can have a turn, taking the abilities from the other class as well so I can, you know, do damage, for Support abilities you can't go wrong with GEOMANCY and TURBO MP. You might be thinking about CONCENTRATION but I would position better so I can blow up a unit from his blindspot instead.
For Suport Mage I would definitely level a Blue Mage, while using him as my Healer from White Magic, you can also turn him into a fancy monster hunter when that wild Fairy appears, again, think support with some niche. Selfcast auto-life and you WILL NEVER LOSE AN ENGAGEMENT with this White Mage that can heal, deal some damage and put every enemy to sleep.
