Pioneer DDJ-WeGO3 Official Walkthrough

The DDJ-WeGO3 gives DJs the freedom to mix with millions of tracks from Spotify or iTunes using Algoriddim’s djay2 on their iPhone/iPod touch/iPad, or with music on their PC/Mac. Plus, the portable DDJ-WeGO3 charges the iPhone/iPod touch/iPad while it plays, giving DJs one less thing to worry about.

The latest addition to the DDJ-WeGO series gains a durable, stylish aluminium top plate and is available in black or white. And it is lightweight and small enough to fit in a backpack, so DJs can give spontaneous performances wherever the party takes them.

I picked up my Wego 3 yesterday :D
I'm not a DJ and I bought it because I think it's fun to learn how to beatmatch and make smooth transitions between songs.

Just ordered this. Excited to have something small I can play around with at home. Haven't had any DJing equipment around since my 1200s and CDJs a decade ago when I stopped DJing professionally.

Claiming this is for noob djs is silly. I just copped one for small gigs. I'm stoked that I can plug it into an ac outlet as I can't stand usb-powered controllers because they usually have slight tactile delay and/or sound problems in my experience (including my original wego. To all the fools who equate knob turning and buttons with pro djing, all you need are what's on this and similar units. Remap the cue button to a vinyl brake effect in your software and you are straight.

I like the layout of the buttons and the effects. I was kinda disappointed that the EFFECTS were short (3 buttons) aside from the other 2 predecessors. I guess the FILTER EFFECT were removed from this new unit. The LOOP BUTTONS were a plus for me as the AUTO LOOP KNOBS were removed. And as for the feature that you can charge your iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch with this unit, that is a big difference! You cannot charge your devices with the older units.

So, I saw your website and it shows that you will have an optional cable called DJC-WeCAi30. Well at least feature it on the video. Its nice to have shown all the features the unit can handle. But for now, this is a unit to be watch for the BEGINNERS AND MID EXPERIENCED DJs.

Just purchased a wego2 2months ago & im impressed on how well it works with djay app!! Will there be an update for wego2 for charging ipad & for serato dj support???

I'm totally new to the Electronic performance scene, and as a producer i'm curious as to what hardware I would need to play my tracks live, without wanting to really mix too much...
Sort of like how Steve Aoki can play his tracks and run around the stage without constantly being in front of his hardware.

Any advice or ideas?

I purchased this controller specifically for the iPad charging support. I am disappointed with the lack of a LPF/HPF knob but I knew that it is absent before I made the purchase. I did not know however, that scratching is disabled when FX are active or that the software key for djay for Mac is for an old version of the software. Considering the controller was manufactured after the new version was released, I am quite irritated.

What functionality does this unit have with Android, can you use the track browser knob to scroll through tracks and use the load buttons?

Already have my CDJ set at home but would love to buy one of these to mix on the go for fun or record mixes whenever but its a real shame these models don't even support android devices yet, not a fan of apple at all....
