In this episode of RIFFS OF DOOM I'm playing through the entire rhythm section and first two lead breaks from Into The Void by Black Sabbath.

To get that classic Sabbath tone I'm using a P-90 qquipped Epiphone 50th Anniversary 1961 Gibson SG Reissue, which I'm running through a Fuzzlord Effects Riff Master OC44, into a 1960 Laney LBO-60 Supergroup amp.

The song is played in the key of C# Minor and it’s riffs utilize elements from the C# Natural Minor Scale {R, M2, b3, p4, p5, b6, b7} Blues Scale {R, b3, p4, b5, p5, b7}. For the solo section uses the C# Minor Pentatonic Scale {R, b3, p4, p5, b7}.

Hey Steve, I was wondering if you could do a demo on the Laney LA30BL? It’s supposed to be a lower watt modern version of the Supergroup, maybe you could compare it to the old school Laney LBO 60 and see how it holds up to giving that classic Sabbath tone along with using the Riff Master boost (as I’m sure there are lots of people who seek tht early Sabbath tone but can’t get ahold of an old school Supergroup). Anyways great vid!!! Keep on dooming 🤟😎
