I am now 71 use to listen the Cascades wonderful music in the 60s in high school. What memories !! The heavy rain in Singapore during the Monsoons.

I was on the Aircraft Carrier Constellation in June 1968 when we left San Diego for Vietnam. The Cascades came aboard the ship as part of a USO tour and put on a great performance. That is when I learned that the Cascades were from San Diego and worked at a club there. After we came back from Vietnam in 1969, I went to that club (can’t remember the name) several times and they always put on a great show. I have this song in my music library.

A few years ago and late at night, I was driving home in the pouring rain. To pass the time I was listening to an oldies station. As I crested a hill the station began playing "The Rain, The Park & Other Things." I pulled over and stopped because I knew I would be loosing reception up ahead. The very next song was "Rhythm of the Falling Rain." Suddenly all was well in the world because my little space had become a bit of heaven!
