Band Resisted Lateral Line Hops

START:
- Single leg balance next to line
- Slight bend in knee
- Opposing arm in front in running technique
- Weight on the ball of the foot
- Resistance band around waist with trainer holding other end of band
- Resistance pulling from side of involved leg

EXECUTE:
- Extend leg and jump up and over line
- Switch arm positions
- Quickly continue hopping side to side over the line switching arm positions each hop
- Continue for prescribed repetitions/ time

FOCUS:
- Short amortization phase
- Avoid valgus collapse of knee
- Stay on balls of feet
- Keep chest upright
- Utilize arm swing for momentum and balance
- Maintain balance against pull of resistance band
- Push off against resistance of the band

GOAL:
- Dynamic lateral movement
- Lower body plyometrics
- Stretch reflex
- Lateral speed and agility
