5 More LIFE CHANGING Plugins/Mods You Need To Try - FFXIV

Video talking about a lot of useful plugins and mods that would make your life easier, these I am personally using and would recommend you to use it regardless of what stage you are at in the game, updated for dawntrail ff14.

[To install the plugins/mods from outside Dalamud using Dalamud]
1. Bring up the plugin menu in-game
2. Go to settings then experimental (PLEASE READ THE WARNING DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK)
3. Scroll down to Custom Plugin Repositories
4. Paste in the URL, make sure enabled is ticked then CLICK the SAVE CHANGES ICON
5. Head back to the normal plugin menu list, and search for the name of the plugin such as NoClippy, download and use

People with 30 ping won't notice that much of a difference (30 ping to an online video game is actually really good), but if you play with 80+ ping, it's definitely very noticeable. You can have 100 ping in the NA servers just for living on the East Coast US.

Best Mod ive installed is YesAlready. Not having to click YES at retainers, Submarines, Doors or something else that demands you to press "Yes" to continue is a Blessing from God xD

so the life changing plugins i would recommend are. simple tweaks (just about every thing in this plugin should be added into the game, really good for hud min/maxers but does more then that just spend a day and look threw it) Mini Mappingway (this should already be a thing in the game, shows you where your friends are on the mini map) Redirect (this should just be how skills and abilitys work in the game, basically does what every combat macro does but works how it should work and doesnt take a skill slot) and Burning down the house (housing non sense)

If it wasn't for plugins, we wouldn't have half the QoL features we have today.

It took Square Enix 10 years to add debuff Yes. 10 years. For debuff timers.

I think Artisan is a better plugin for crafting/automating the process. Its even gives you a %age likelihood of your macro succeeding and you can choose which pots and food and manuals to use with certain recipes and macros.

U have NO idea how much i needed this video for both Lifestream and Makeplace!

have a wonderful housing setup but i wish there was a way to save the setting in case i need to do some remodeling. Also lifestream is a huge time saver when doing hunt trains!

You don’t need to use noclippy if you have really good ping. (Also you don’t need to triple weave on drg) If you have bad ping it’s understandable if you use it, but generally people frown upon others that abuse it and use it if they have really good ping already.

Umbra(taskbar mod) is a very good one, little hard to setup but when you do is amazing all thos botoms on the side you can put it in the taskbar and free up all your hotbars and much more.

you will still clip your gcd if you triple weave, even with noclippy on

also take into consideration that if you care about parsing, fflogs might blacklist your logs if you triple weave too much for damage

For craftimizer, open macro editor, and generate a macro, it should show you the remaining durability, quality, and progress. If you have negative .5 or more, the craft will fail.

NoClippy was night and day for me, who plays on high ping. I couldn't do double weaving for nothing.

Simple Tweaks is also such a good plugin, so many quality of life features that (hopefully) will make it into the game. It has several tweaks which make the game and combat less polluted and clunky.
