Definitely needed to use something (blocks of wood, painter's triangles, etc) to elevate the items before painting so that you could get the edges. Great comparison - very helpful! 👍

Man! Some of these people really come at you! I liked the comparison. I'm actually looking for something very durable to paint a kids plastic car (cozy coupe) that won't scratch off easily with bumping and banging around. Thought maybe if its used on wheels, then maybe. I don't care if it comes off (I'd actually rather it didn't lol) you scratched with your fingernails but will either one tolerate a good roughing up?

Thanks for this video, it helps.
Which one do you think is a better water sealant?

Though I like Rustoleum's spray paint products, I gotta go with plastic dip simply because it is easier to peel with only 4 coats compared to 8 coats of the vinyl wrap.

Thus is a good comparison but why not use black instead of white. Of course it takes more coats covering a black part with white paint. And the vinyl wrap says not to use on plastic.

I’ve seen guys put the cans in warm water help paint get thinner sprays nicer too

I wonder if it cured for a good while, like days or a couple weeks if it would be more bonded to the plastic. Or if the plastic would have been more prepared/sanded maybe it might adhere better.... just a thought.

I like the Rustoleum products results better, but I need something other than Gloss Blk, Gloss Wht, or Gloss Red. I'm wondering if I could spray Rustoleum Vinyl/fabric spray, or even regular paint over the top of the white to get the color I want. I want to paint motorcycle tank. Guess I'll have to experiment further.

Any time you Paint doesn’t matter if it’s plasty dip or anything you should always have a bright flashlight look at it between codes and your final coat the same thing when you’re painting a house you use a bright flashlight and put it right up against the wall and look for all imperfections and nail pops that way you can fix the walls perfect before you paint especially if the room has a lot of sunlight you will see the imperfections really bad especially because a lot of people use eggshell and satin on the walls and flat on the ceilings are use eggshell on the trim and to make it pop depending on what color the walls are like if you’re using like a light gray and you have maybe a black accent wall there’s so many different ways to do it but I always choose A different white on the baseboards than the ceilings I’m really OCD so I look at a lot of different colors the little pink cards I have them all over the place sticking in the baseboards matching them up to one another to see what’s going on with the best but prepping is the most important part if you wanted to look good when you’re painting anything I know a place he did and stuff like that you can pull it off and do it again but when I was younger when I first learned to paint when I was in my teens painting apartments and we sprayed all the flat and rolling cut all the semi gloss no custom work but that’s where I learn how to spray after you do it for not long at all everybody’s different everybody I worked with were friends of mine we grew up together we were all in competition with one another you could finish the apartments the fastest and look the best

Should have compared same xolora cus plasti dip colors vary in how they behave when covering other colors.

I've tried these other products & plasti dip to me is the best & easiest to peel off, but the only thing is they don't make flatt or matte black

Alright so it's basically like a forgivable paint in that if it turns out the finished look isn't to your liking or you messed something up, you could technically (as frustrating as it would be) peel it off and try again.

the back of the can for the vinyl wrap says not to use on plastic, maybe different result on rims?

The vinyl wrap by rust oleum has acetone so don’t use it on your paint!!!! Found out the hard way

You should try krylon acrylic-Quik paint if 2 days is too long to wait for rustoleum to dry…

DO NOT use Rustoleum Vinyl wrap on a newer vehicle w/ clear coat, the paint will etch into the clear coat leaving your clear coat thin and will leave permanent masking lines anywhere there's been paint applied then masking removed. This product should have never been released to the public for automotive applications!!!!

You have to take into account that it’s a wet style paint and the more layers the better and the better peel quality
