This video is a pictoral slideshow of Comingtee Plantation in Berkeley County which was a plantation home built in 1738 and now in ruins. Also visited is Strawberry Chapel on the Cooper River which was built in 1725. Strawberry Chapel is on private property and cannot be entered without permission. Comingtee is part of Bonneau Ferry WMA which is managed by the SCDNR. Music is The Rip by Portishead - no copyright infringement intended used solely for entertainment purposes.

Why is this chapel private? I tried to see it and there were signs all over the place!

How can we visit here? My family were kidnapped and enslaved on this Plantation from the 1800's (the farthest back I can trace)
