Snap on tools are great. But Knipex pliers are the best. There’s a reason every tool truck company rebrands them.

When working in tight spaces, that tightness helps you a lot. You want to be able to set the plier to the width you need, put it where you need it, and then cut. With loose ones it becomes a much more fiddly process if you don’t have the space to manipulate the tool.

Kleins will out cut snap on any day. I own both but the Snapons definitely are the most comfortable to use

The tightness is good and makes you finish fast! The job fast!😎

Had mine for over ten years, gave up with them as they're still tight, much prefer knipex 👍

The Knipex are a good brand and in my experience are on par with the Snap-on. I haven't tested them side by side, but I remember being very pleased with both when I had the opportunity to use them.

I always break in snap-on pliers or cutters. Out of the box they are too tight. Especially if reaching into a hole where there is not much room. Pro tip if they get too loose, set them on an anvil and smack the pin with a punch, it will upset the metal and snug them up.

Kinipex are the best on the market. I own both Snap-0n and Kinipex. Kinipex are more comfortable and user friendly, as well as stronger jaws.

Knipex makes some of the finest pliers anywhere. The big sliphoint pliers are the real star they are light-years ahead of snap ons version

Snap on is the brand by which all others are judged!!

A little penetrating oil on the pivot. Go to the work truck and get some of the real fine dirt accumulated near the accelerator pedal. Work the the dirt into the pivot repeatedly. Takes out the tight just right.

I have both and love both and Snapon is the best pliers in the industry but I like Knipex a bit more.

You just keep Glazing Snap-off....Youre doing a Great job at it. Maybe they'll one day somewhat hear you exist and give you a high-five 😂

Trick : take some valve lapping compound and work it into the pliers joint. Then open and close them a bunch. It will make it loose and easy to control with one hand 😅 it really works. Just don’t do it too much

I love my snap on tools, and the fact that the truck pulls up lets you get what you want make interest free payments and replace them if they fail . Except they charged my friend to fix his cordless ratchet and it took forever, they charged me to fix my die grinder but since I used it a lot on restorations he took mine and handed me a new one for the price of fixing mine . They might be overpriced, but they come to you and like 7-11 they are convenient

Fujyia japanese cutters are loose out of the box with zero wobble and do not change over time. They have been making tools sense before snapon was a thought & they are cheaper then snap on. They are made in japan.

😅Quality is not expensive, but It is Priceless. In the 15 years using SnapOn tools I can only remember 1 that broke. It was a 3/8 drive 8mm short allen, I broke it taking out a headbolt out of a V-8 4.5Ltr. MercedesBenz Engine in for a valve job. Another 6mm long 3/8drive allen but that 1 didn't break it just twisted up in a spiral. Broke a few short 1/4 inch drive 10mm universal sockets after using them daily for a few years.
Never broke a standard wrench, 3/8 or 1/2 inch drive socket, extension, or screwdriver under normal use. I did break a few abusing them but I figure that was my fault. SnapOn still replaced them without blinking.
Might have stripped a few 1/4 inch drive ratchets on bolts bigger than recommended procedures called for so again not the tools or makers fault.

Buddy of mine has tool boxes full of snap on tools. Most of them aren’t usable and have since been replaced with icon tools from harbor freight. The snap on tools are broken and wore out and the truck won’t come to his shop to warranty them. Some have set for years. He’s started to just throw them away because nobody will come by. Has yet to break an icon but it’s a 20 minute drive to replace them if any were to break
