Black Liberation Theology is a Sinister theology, YOU have been warned!

There is a deep-rooted heresy that is gaining momentum in the Evangelical church today. The heresy is born out of Black Liberation Theology — a theology popularized by James Cone that encourages blacks to use their religion to seek “liberation” from various forms political, economic, and social oppression. This sinister theology actually disguises the gospel with a false gospel of works and self-atonement for generational sins.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 2 Timothy 4:3-4

Thank you, this is going to help me form some of my assessment thoughts for my final presentation for one of my classes. My seminary has now embraced liberation theology, and due to some financial aid issues AND what I believe the hand of God on my life, I will be ending my studies in August. Please pray the Lord show me where to continue my studies, or that I hear Him clearly as to what to do in this new season of my life. 🙏

Thank you so much for this video, I hear so much about black theology and many are taken in by it. In my opinion those who subscribe to this theology do not understand their spiritual identity. As a black woman I experience racism and I hate this sin but I love my culture and heritage but neither being a woman or being black is my identity. I recognise that my true identity does not reside in the colour of my skin but in being the adoption of Christ Jesus.

Why was there a disclaimer on this video as it teaches sound doctrine of forgiveness.?

Thank you for this man! This is "dangerous doctrine " indeed . Jacket Hill Perry adhers to this too . And I don't know why the Gospel Coalition supports her and estemes her . I am subscribed to the Gospel Coalition, however I disagree with some of what it is teaching . This is one area

Liberation ideology connects Jesus struggles for equality and love with real world actions that seek liberation from oppression.

The Jesus we receive is so out of context. He was middle eastern probably sounded a little like bin laden when he spoke and likely was not as light as he's portrayed.

If we cannot free Jesus from these kinds of colonial ideas then we suck as people and should take a second thought about what it means to be a follower of Christ.

Jesus never taught the doctrines of inherited sin and human depravity, Paul did. You quote Paul's letter to the Romans as if it's one and the same with the words and gospel of Jesus, misleading listeners and idolizing Paul. I recommend reading the book Jesus' Words Only by Douglas Del Tondo.
