I’m in year 5. Max funded. In the fog stage. Excited about the future but so many skeptics making me question my decision.

One thing you are leaving gout that the cap rates have dropped so much down to like 7% and the cost of insurance each year resets and not guaranteed to be what is shown in the illustrations. Meaning the insurance company can increase the cost of insurance each year and eat even more of your cash value. These worked great15 years ago but today not good with such low cap rates on market participation.

What companies actually implement this strategy properly? Also, how long does it take for someone to max out their IUL? How much is the max under Defra, Tefra? I wouldn’t know where to begin or the appropriate company to begin this with. Will these insurance companies understand the method of linking my IUL to an index fund?
