"Phantasmagorical” is a massive 21 track, multi-artist remix album with remixes of every song off Bill’s 2021 album “Phantasmagoria” featuring flips from Dubstep dons Virtual Riot, Dirt Monkey & The Widdler, to technical geniuses Culprate & voljum, to Vibe-lords KiloWatts, and Player Dave, and Bass Music royalty Integrate, Resonant Language, and Protial. This 2-year in the making flip-album version of Phantasmagoria contains fresh takes spanning genres that’ll push your stomach deep into your spine such as Dubstep, Bass House, and Melodic Drum and Bass, to Glitch, and UK Garage that’ll leave you scratching your chin having existential crisis after existential crisis to incredibly chill, musical stuff that’ll 100% put you in the mood to drink some serious tea (and uh… fix the existential crisis’ you may, or may not have had). Phantasmagoria was conceptually based on the idea that language is only so effective, and that we don’t have words for certain emotions, and for the one’s we do have words for, we’re not even 100% sure that they refer to the same emotion from person to person, and as such, this description can only help you understand the album so much. Each of the songs in Phantasmagoria were meticulously crafted by Mr. Bill (and his occasional collaborators). Every melody and rhythm agonized over to perfection, the phase of every sub tuned for maximum impact, the mix of every instrument dipped and cut at just the right points to create a full and crystal clear sound, the stereo spread in each frequency range dialed in just right to expand the presence while maintaining that clarity. If you watch his other content, you know an incomprehensible number of ideas and projects were cut for not meeting his frankly absurd standards of excellence, and he poured countless hours of experimentation, application, and passion into ensuring the album was the best he had to offer. The result was a listening experience unlike any other, placing it in my favorites alongside other monoliths of musical accomplishment like Tool's Fear Inoculum and Tipper's Jettison Mind Hatch that defied my expectations of what a genre should sound like, and redefined my idea of quality music. It was a masterpiece, and Bill had the courage to open his work to the world and encourage his fellow artists to work with it. To relinquish control of his art, allow others to critique, deconstruct, reassemble, twist, and warp the tracks he had slaved over for innumerable hours. In addition, he went back and transformed a few of his own songs from masterpieces into mind-blowing, nigh-orgasmic experiences.

This album (nearly 150% the length of the original) elevates Phantasmagoria to new heights, expanding on and making unexpected changes to the original songs while maintaining Bill's standard of quality and respecting the effort and love that went into his original works. It and Phantasmagoria are like Parabol and Parabola, working together to create a meta-EP that's easily my favorite collection of music ever.

Bill got some of the best in the game right now to work on this project, and they all showed out on this one. Absoluetly killer stuff from each of the producers featured on this album. There's so many different tastes to at least have a couple tracks to suit anyone's appetite, but if you are an unbiased fan of contemporary electronic music, this whole this is right up your alley. You could buy this and have a good amount of tracks of all varieties in your crate to work with that will all be crowd pleasers.
