I’m American Indian & this is almost exactly how I was told the earth felt about us living on her. She don’t mind us being on her when we’re doing good, but when we do bad we’re like a bad itch that she can’t hardly stand. She can only take so much of that itch before she has to start moving around. If she has to move then that’s when natural disasters happen such as earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, etc. When it was explained to me they made it sound like we were a bad rash on her skin, but fleas sounds more accurate.
