The silent bits on The King of Queens almost always made me want to cry -> they really had amazing writers and a stellar cast. The fact that Carrie does not yell about the messy counter and just sits with Doug eating a sandwich in silence and just caresses his arm understanding what he's going through-> that's oh so endearing and the reason why I always have come back to this show even after almost 20 years since it went out of the air. Also: that sandwich does look amazing - I wonder what's in it.

Doug was always too stupid, immature, childish, and undisciplined to pursue a dream. He got a good doze of reality and in spit of that, Carrie helped lessen the blow of that reality.
