It's still the softest shoe around! // NIKE INVINCIBLE RUN 3 REVIEW // Ginger Runner

The Nike Invincible was a surprise for me in its first version being so incredibly soft and comfortable. Now in its third version, it still holds up but isn't without its quirks. What are YOUR thoughts?

Vastly different experience in the 3 compared to the 2. Both are too soft for me to run in because of my Joe Namath knees. But the 2 make a excellent recovery shoe to walk around in after my run somewhat like the Oofoos I wear around the house. As a forefoot striker, the 2's are great but the 3's perhaps because of the different geometry, thicker outsole rubber and the board under the insole making it more stiffer all contribute to me landing more flat footed and less foward. Instead of trying to please the people who found the 2's too unstable and end up offending the other half who found the shoe fine. Then maybe put out 2 different versions of this shoe. I think the 2 and 3 can co-exist and let the consumer decide which one feels better.

I was so let down by this version. The pop, the control is just gone to me. I hate to admit it, but others who commented on locking on your foot were correct! Please bring back version 1or 2

On my 3rd pair of Invincible 3s. I recently ran the Twin Cities Marathon in a 2 week old pair and I was surprised how beat up my legs and especially front foot areas were. Last year I ran NYC Marathon in the beefy Hoka Bondis and had much less post race pain. Gonna check out some Asics road shoes to try to find a balance of performance and cushioning. Perhaps the Novablast?

I have the Invincible 3 and I love it for running with plantar fasciitis

I got over 70 miles on mine, I like them a lot, but the upper material and the color options are the downside, also I had to use the runners knot and an aggressive tie down to get rid of heel slippage . Other than that it's my first max cushion shoe and I love running on it long miles .

V2 still going strong for me, so will keep an eye out for V4 next year.

Hopefully the Zegama 2 comes in Gore-Tex too. 🤞🏻

Been going back and forth on these a lot since there seems to be so many poor reviews. Would be my first Invincible. Tempted to wait for V4 too.

Waiting for the Invincible 4. Hopefully it's like the first version again.

I loved the 1 & 2 but for one issue: weight. I have switched to the Saucony Triumph.

I tried INVINCIBLE 2, and I like it a lot; however, after running 50 km, the upper separated from the midsole. I believe the issue persists in INVINCIBLE 3, as it uses the same ZoomX midsole.

I tried the shoe in store, my ankle shape doesnt work 🙃. Alot of heel slippage for me, even tried the lace lock but at that point it just felt like it would eventually cause lace bite with how tight i tied em. It would be nice to how or if they change it for v4

Alas, you kinda missed the mark with this one. I'd like to have seen a proper comparison with the V2's.
Yes, the build quality has been improved. Yes, their design department should get plaudits for the overall look (they're a gorgeous pair of shoes - better than the previous versions). But when it comes to running performance, they're a drastic step down from their predecessors.

Recovery day shoe for me is the new balance more v4 more comfort and balanced max recovery king.

Question (personal:). How much do you weigh? Would these shoes be good for a 190lb (non- ginger) runner?

Invincible 2 -1088km and good to go for probably 500km+
Invincible 3-18km they are more firm they could be better for steady paces

I prefer the 2 who are more soft for slow easy run b

Even softer than the New Balance 1080v13? Would be hard to imagine but I’ll find out soon here as these are on the way

Coming from someone who wears Torins and Lone Peaks (maybe Olympus soon if my forefoot keeps acting up), we really need some "shoes of the people". Shoes that aren't a gorillian bucks, punch above their price, and would be acceptable to most people.

I tried that shoe on today and it's very uncomfortable, there's a big drop from heel to the forefoot it's like a cliff.

I have a pair, got them on their release date in 2023. As a heavy runner (210lbs) I thought these would be good for my long miles and they were to start with.
However the squish started to not be so squishy. The sole burned through in places and some of the tread peeled away from the foam.
One trick pony really.
I’m actually looking for a replacement for my long road miles if people could suggest anything?
Thinking maybe nimbus 25 or 26??
