The German Bagger - BMW K1600B

BMW certainly knows how to produce really great motors and in the K1600 motorcycle series they install a fantastic inline 6 cylinder 1649cc motor. You just have to experience this motorcycle and I had the privilege of testing and riding the B for Bagger. Not only that, also fully specked with pretty much every conceivable extra from cosmetic to technical to Option 719 and an exhaust to behold....... Big 6 cylinder, with quick-shifter, a monstrous push into the plush seat as the power gets unleashed, topping it all off with a F1 sounding quad Remus exhaust.

I bought a new K1600b 2 1/2 months ago and after 8, 000 miles I realize it is near perfect. I did ride a 2022 HD Road Glide Special about 10 days ago. In no way is the HD comparable to the BMW! The BMW is ten times the bike, period!

The R button on the left handle bar is the REVERSE GEAR 😉.
It must be in NEUTRAL, apply the brake and then press the R button. Now use the STARTER button to go back (the reverse gear is basically the starter motor).

Hi there, i do believe there is a R button on the left side grip to activate reverse.

Great review! You overlooked the reverse, see that button “R” on the right side of the left handlebar..? That’s the reverse 😎. I currently drive a K16B with the Remus from 2019, awesome bikes! This Midnight color is awesome, I’ll probably upgrade at some point 😏, there’s just no comparison.

Really nice review, I've test rode the K a couple times, such a smooth bike. I ride an R 1250 RS and love the torque, but that K is so comfortable and F1 was a perfect description. Those remus pipes sound great and would be a must to add.

I have the 2020 w/Remus full exhaust. Beast !!!! Just got the R1800. Fun around town bike. Love the brand, since early 90’s. 👩‍🍳

Love this video, love my K1600B. The only negative is the 15 inch wind deflector, I purchased a 17 inch and cain't wait to try it.
