What an absolute legacy EVH left us with. An entire musical history of albums, re-inventing the electric guitar in many aspects, creating signature guitars and amps that are affordable and build solid, and even his son making music that is killer. Amazing.

the track playing is just dope, the striped series really brings me back to when I made my own Kramer style guitar, I just reversed the headstock and added a faux single coil neck pickup for fun🤘🏻🔥

Two things else I’d love to see from EVH if it’s viable:
1. Custom pickups with a choice of alnico 2, 5, 8 and maybe even ceramic; choice of bobbin color and resistance on the coils.

2. 2 volume knobs option instead of a kill switch with one tone knob that has a no load tone pot to get that high end sizzle Eddie got with his single pickup guitars with no tone pot. I took my tone pots out of my Wolfgang guitars and replaced the pickups with white Seymour Duncan ‘78s—sounds amazing. EVH Wolfgang guitars are directly connected to the pickup switch at the top of the guitar then a separate wire runs back to the volume/tone pots. I get why it’s down that way but makes it annoying to switch out pickups—they also make it hard to fit normal pickups in their guitars. I had to sand away a bigger spot for the Seymour Duncan (SD) pickups and luckily SD makes both short and long leg pickups—you need short legs for the Wolfgang.

I bought a Baja made Wolfgang special last year. Great guitar, I swapped pups to USA EVH pups, added stainless frets, a German made FR nut as my factory Wolfgang nut stripped on first string swap. I also added hardened bridge saddles, tungsten string blocks, a tungsten sustain block, and noiseless bridge tension springs. She plays great, and buttery smooth, the tone is pheomeanal. The only other thing I wished the guitar had was a maple cap on the basswood body. I plek’d the stainless frets, polished them after fine sanding the neck a little better and beveling or rolling the fretboard edges and frets, back to match my 90’s EVH EBMM axis rolled fretboard edge. I’ve had zero issues since, and the guitar never goes out of tune, even after multiple sessions with plenty of dive bombs. The Mexican factory did a great job, I just saw room for improvement.

@EVH Gear - Why can't you reissue the original Wolfgang USA models, the ones that were the first to hit the market ?
The cream, ebony, quilt / flame maple tops with maple fingerboards ? Are these models gone forever ?

Why do most of them come with rosewood/ebony fretboards though? Eddie almost always used maple. Until he started playing the stealth, but these classic stripes/colours fit the maple better.
