Blake and Ryan have never seemed entirely genuine. In that interview with Kjersti Flaa, you could see that Blake doesn’t hesitate to snap back at the reporter the moment she perceives a slight from her, but she uses the most gentle and sweet tone when talking to Parker about her “lovely lady lumps” a la BEP. The start contrast is evident. She can be sweet to those in her “corner” or “camp”, but she doesn’t extend the same grace to others. If she wanted to, she could’ve said, “Oh thank you, but I don’t want this to be about my pregnancy.” Or “Please, it seems like you mean well, but let’s not talk about my pregnancy.” It wasn’t like she wasn’t visibly pregnant nor that news of her pregnancy hadn’t already broken, so what was the need for her to be so mean? Flaa wasn’t congratulating you for no reason, so why were you so defensive? I can only imagine she was insecure about the weight gain and so sensitive about it that even a congratulatory remark would’ve been triggering. She must not have been easy to work with on this movie.

A couple of things I'd like to note. We don't really know what has gone on in the Blake/Justin situation, but what I know for sure is it's obvious Blake has a history of being mean, disrespectful and overall immature with her answers to questions in interviews. I also know that the movie is about a serious subject, but she 'chose' to market it like a rom-com with her fashion statements, which was just wrong and an insult to anyone who has experienced or is experiencing domestic violence. Why didn't she put more emphasis on the topic and talk about it more? All she talked about were the "florals" and "grabbing your girlfriends to go watch It Ends With Us." To me, these are the real issues. My mother always used to say, "If someone shows you who they are, believe them." I believe this about Blake.
