My dad used to manage him. I was also a waiter at Sessions Cafe in in Rothesay NB. I worked the show and sold the boxes of these CDs. I’ve kept one all these years thankfully. Matt is a generous soul. He bought my first amp and showed me how to play my first chords. I will always cherish this man.

Bob Marley wrote music in the hopes that it would bring people - all people together as one. I can't help but think that Bob is sitting up there listening to Matt with a smile on his face, his hopes coming to fruition, as a portly white dude, sings a song written by a skinny black dude, and uses it to bring people together. Well done Matt, and well done Bob.

I'm supposed to be doing 'church' music, but I decided I needed to hear some 'Matt.' I found you several years ago and just finished listening to songs from your Honest Man (oh dear, I was going to say 'record.') I introduced my son to your music. He will shortly turn 39, but he likes it too. You have a gift from God. And I pray that you keep using it until He eventually takes you home (not till you're ancient, though).
