Hi Goodhumans. You’re absolutely right… We recognize how the title and clips featured in this episode have not done justice to the Asian American community — a diverse group in itself. It was a total oversight on our part and we will actively work to do better next time. Thank you for always holding us to a high standard and for pushing us to be better. We appreciate you all.

Even though this is directed more towards the East Asian people. I feel like so many (if not all) of these experiences and emotions apply and are relevant to Asian people as a whole. The being made fun of at school for the food you bring, the resistance against interracial relationships and more...these are things you actually do experience in one way or another being an Asian living in another country. Thank you Jubilee

Dude mine was chosen… I’m speechless. And Eugene was the one who read it, one of my idols. I’m like literally crying right now as I type this. Thank you Eugene for your kind words. You’re right, I am perfect just how I am. 🇵🇭🏳️‍🌈

It’s hard being an adopted Asian because there’s no “asianess” within you. You have to mold your own Asian American identity.

"We don't have to say it, we live it." Is the most underated comment in this video.

Oooft! The secrets about being mixed hit hard. I'm mixed Scottish & Chinese & Ive never felt accepted fully or been able to feel fully part of either culture. I just feel stuck. When I've experienced racism, I've been told it doesn't count because I'm barely Asian & not enough.

As much as i love jubilee i hate the fact that they only get east asians when talking about asian topics

Like south, southeast, central and west asians don't exist

If this video is about the AAPI experience, then all Asians should have been included, not just East Asians.

“EAST ASIAN” it’s that simple to avoid controversy

I’m happy for Asians to be getting recognition, and being able to talk about the hurt that they go through everyday. (even if most of the submissions are East Asian). But, scrolling through the playlist (AAPI Voices), You honestly should’ve just named it Asian Voices. Not once were Pacific Islanders mentioned, and it has always been that way sadly.

I’m half white, asian, and black. I was raised by my white family and was never close with my Asian side until recently.
So much of this video spoke to me that now I’m crying on my way to work. My filipino father recently died of mental illness, and it just goes to show how we need to speak more on mental health with in our community.
We need to be more accepting of others especially when they are mixed.

You should have titled it East Asians cause none other than them were present here. I like the Asian representation but I feel most of the times only East Asians are the ones represented. As an Indian I feel that our culture isn't represented well enough and is always misunderstood.

PS: The fact they did have Hasan Minhaj and Jay Shetty on the show and yet didn't include them in this segment.

EDIT: Ok I'm sorry I didn't mean to come off as if I am making it all about myself. I wrote about my heritage but what I meant was I wanted more diversity in the segment of the video because clearly they had few South Asians. My only problem is that they shouldn't have titled it that if they didn't show diversity. But I understand I came off as snobbish. I'm sorry!

Why is it only East Asians? South Asia, Central Asia, and West Asia exist, and should be considered part of the AAPI community

I’m Latina and this was so beyond educational. I cried because I could relate to somethings and also cried more because I know this is gonna do soooo much for the Asian community. I love this, all my favorite people were in it too. My babe Eugene huhhhh everyone was fabulous. 💕💕💕💕💕💕

While obviously I can’t relate to continued violence in the Asian community, a lot of these ethnic issues relate really deeply with the Latin community, so this was comforting in a lot of different ways.

Eugene melts my heart every second please, this video is so truly heartwarming with the responses, and so deeply painful even with me being asian and having been living here my whole life, while fighting the wrongs in people's mind here and around the world about us asians, and just alive beings and their true real selves and happiness with my whole being, my whole life, thank you so much for everything youve been doing since youve existed to make our world better jubilee, and everyone involved in this video and world :') <3

Understandably most of the comments are about how this video should be titled to specify east Asians as the video isn't continentally diverse beyond that but let's also take a moment to appreciate the message behind the video and how it's trying to raise awareness and the severity behind how east Asians feel and are viewed in American or not even just American in western societies generally, yes it's should say east Asian in the title so as not to generalise but I think the fact that most of the comments are about this partly is taking away from the message of the video and we should highlight the content of what this group of people are trying to say and advocate for more and how they are trying to reach out and help people
