I have been to Easter Island back in 2016... I about fell on the floor hearing "Forest Fire".. There are almost no trees on that island. If there was a forest fire it would have been about 200 trees at best and should have been out in an hour. There are several places that are hidden and intentionally not on the map especially near Anakanna (Beach area, Tartara) and the Quarry which have caves with significant carvings and paintings. You need to have a tour guide willing to take you "off hours" since these are off limits.

The stupidest thing about the narrative of Easter island is just a couple years ago there was this big headline announcement that the heads has bodies, but Robert schochs book shows a picture of an excavation of the full bodied moia from like 1917
