I would like a 500mm f2.8 prime, but it would be just too impractical and expensive to use let alone make. However if anyone tries it'll be sigma.

I had a chance to try it, and was disappointed with quality. Mostly too soft image. My sigma 70-200f2.8 (2013) give me more sharp image with 2x extender or micro4/3. I know - that's not the same. Maybe I got bad/defective one.
