To be entirely honest, I'm not a souls-like fan, but I do see what they were going for here.

If I was going to be doing a Frenchie-souls like, I would probably do "The Man In The Iron Mask" in reverse, without directly spelling it out. I'd have the hero as the titular imprisoned king, finally escaping when his chains rust through and wandering through the ruins of a destroyed France, fighting bosses based on characters from the story with a lot of body horror involved, seeing their true selves briefly as they fall, before slashing your way through a ruined cathedral at the end with a serious blasphemous vibe, before realizing your the real king after defeating the final boss who is a mirror match against your own moves, and sitting at a throne to contemplate your own navel, realizing that when the heroes lost there was nothing left to save anymore and then make some self-referential joke about the overuse of grimdark angst.

Hey, it's a better idea than the one I had for a survival horror game where Silent Hill assumed the form of Seseme Street and lured in a bunch of children. When a character is literally called "Snuffy" where would you expect adults to go with this?

Okay too long for some bad jokes, once again. Perhaps before too long someone will make a spectacle fighter based on "Mad Men" to see how much ultra violence can be inflicted with a paper cutter.

Gosh Faulty Towers was a good show. It was one of the few British comedies I was able to watch in the U.S. and I was sad it had such a short run. Thanks for the throwback. ^_^

I get them wanting to be different and unique but you can't just slap an existing noun in for a name and have everyone twist the pronunciation to get what you want. Especially for a dollar store Navi with an immersion breaking American accent.
