That poor woman obviously has very serious mental health issues, and she will be legally detained on such grounds, but I cannot see her being subjected to prosecution ( nor successfully prosecuted ) for murder or manslaughter .

Instead of murdering the baby why won't you just give her to someone else that does want a baby? Then you wouldn't be in jail if you adopted the baby to someone else

Life is brutal and obviously the baby being killed is devastating to all who learn about this. The woman who committed this murder obviously is very mentally disturbed. Tragic for the mother and child. A failure of what society is becoming.
