Shirley has an ABUNDANCE of talent. It’s almost obscene. I’ve never walked away after watching a film she was in and thought “mmm Shirley MacLaine wasn’t very good in that”. It’s ALWAYS “I just love that damn Shirley MacLaine!”

Ironically this is director drove her crazy. She said it was one of the most difficult shoots she ever had.
