3:08 Damn, that stratagem is awful. You're telling me that your AdMech units gain lethal hits, when this army has NO ADMECH UNITS? Massive rules oversight. /s

Ya know what would have made this cool is if you essentially use the cultists as bodygaurds, where they take wounds rather than the big knights.

This is what I wanted, if only they didn't limit how much damned you can take

I like where (I think) they were trying to go with this one; I'll always appreciate an attempt to make big knights more effective. I don't like that you have to buy another codex in order to use this detachment (even though most CK players probably already have a CSM codex) because you shouldn't have to spend more money on a book you're never going to use just to get the code in the back of the book to use it on GW's app. This detachment was on the right track but could've definitely used a little more time in the oven.

It seems like you really only want 2-3 cultist units strictly for sacrifice and its more of decisive strike playstyle

So just a dark mirror to the loyalist one. I'm gonna be honest, this works worse because Cultists suck ass in this role. Skitarii have better statlines than Guardsmen and have way more potent guns (barring the fact that those are much less numerous on the board as they aren't Battleline). Also, Tech Priests can buff and heal up the big boys which makes them a lot more durable than their Chaos counterparts. Sacrificing your (very limited) henchmen for buffs seems like this is all about being aggressive in the early game, which really isn't helpful as you'll quickly run out of bodies as your opponent mows down wave after wave of cultists to deprive your Knights of their Dark Sacrifice units whereas Tech Priests gain loneop and therefore are a lot more consistent when it comes to helping your Knights.

GW missed hard on a chance to bring actual balance to chaos knights. Instead of cultists they should have had this play off the wardogs instead. That way the big knights could give off their aura to the wardogs and the wardogs could buff up the big knights. That would have armies running a balance of bigs and smalls. This is not a good choice
