Not a huge difference. If your Pixel 7 pro is holding up, I would wait for the Pixel 10.

Something went wrong with the 8-9 series where they just crush the shadows on your face and makes it look contrasty and weird..

I bought my Pixel 7 Pro about 2 years ago and I think I will keep it for the moment.Knowing that the price of the Pixel 9 Pro XL in France and € 1, 200, the evolution is not necessarily justified. Verdict with the Pixel 10 Pro.

5:05 It seems that Google doesn't anymore use data from the periscope camera at 3x. I wonder whether that means that the Pixel 10 Pro gets a 3x camera, maybe the purpose of the new algorithm is to make the difference between the future 10 Pro and 9 Pro more significant.

Just tested the 9 Pro XL in a store. It still uses data from the periscope at 3x.

Love this review showing pics side by side. The 9 Pro looks much sharper to me than the 7 Pro and the video is better! Thanks

Is there manual video settings - I hate the way the exposure bounces around when filming - on my pixel 6 I can alter exposure but it still fluctuates. Its annoying and you can see it in your footage.

The Pixel 7 Pro Cameras hold its own IMHO - I'm keeping it for another year. Totally satisfied with it. BTW - Great content...

I just got a P7P renewed for $300, so I'm pretty happy with the camera standing up to the newest Pixel.

I'm not seeing any consistent differences to base upgrading from the 7 Pro on the camera. The 7 pro looks warmer in still pictures but cooler in video than the 9 pro and that can be adjusted. Most likely won't see a huge difference with the P10 either. These phone companies trickle out tiny updates every year to get people to replace perfectly good phones. No doubt they hold back technology just so they can use it in next year's model as a selling point.

that annoying magenta/red-ish tint that other reviewers and people are complaining about seems to not have been there on the 7pro. Not sure what went wrong with google's color algorithms lately.

I have the 7 Pro - very happy with it, but I'm going to upgrade to the 9 pro Fold. I want a bigger screen for when I travel, without having to carry a tablet.

Less dynamic range on the 9 pro...black are crushed...and colours look better on the 7 pro to me.

Definitely video stability issues on the 9 Pro that need addressing. The footage has the jitters on occasion when panning is involved in low light conditions. Too much contrast on human faces too. It makes the final video look almost cartoon like.

Damn, the Pixel 9 Pro is way more jittery while panning compared to the 7 Pro while filming. Seems like they've gone backwards 🙄

So colours are less saturated and more contrasty on the 9 pro which a lot of people seem to not like. Even though that can considered to be the more "realistic picture since it doesn't that "HDR effect" were shadows are lifted and highlights are lowered.

But one improvement i don't see people are talking about it how much better the video recording at night has improved on the Pixel 9 pro. Specifically the noise reduction is doing a much better job preserving detail while not looking noisy to the point the noise reduction make the video look like it's compressed when it's actually the noise reduction is eliminating the detail in the video. But other than that I don't see how much of a major upgrade this is for a 2 generation jump, but the improvements are something that could have been fixed in a software update.

7:20 did I just witness the 9 Pro XL being worse than 7 Pro? No way. Hope Google fixes it.

The best camera of the market and also the pixel 9 pro xl

The price is doubled, but the camera performance is only like a 10% improvement. It doesn't seem to be worth upgrading.

Well, I've the 7 pro and 9 pro xl. I can see Pixel 9 pro xl is sharper, especially in low-light. The videos and ultra-wide lens are clearly better overall. HDR too is better, especially in selfies and videos.
