With this setup, I can run my own Nextcloud server, adguard, and many other applications. Access to the server is easily setup simply by using the TwinGate probe that can run on the same server, something we unfortunately didn't get to in this video.

I have this system as well, I put 4 6tb drives in mine and used an esata to sata cable to power a small ssd for the OS, also running casa since it does well under such terrible ram conditions, but it works pretty well.

Would any of you be interested in a second video of this server? I've successfully installed TrueNas on this server and it is running good even though we have only 2gb of memory in there.

That is a very old little Server. I got one since they came out the market, back in October 2009. I have the HP MediaSmart EX495 CPU and Memory upgraded, PC2 4GB. It has 3 HDDs 2TB each and 1 SSD 512GB. I`ve been playing with it since the day I bought it, Installing Windows Home Server 2011, back to Windows Home Server V1, Ubuntu Server, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, even I tried Windows Sever 2000, anyways I tried many OSES in this little thing. I want to try Proxmox BACKUP, I have a Server with Proxmox VE dual processor, 196GB memory, 10 SSD 2TB each in RAID, but I want to test if the EX495 supports 4TB or 8TB, so I can upgrade the 3 HDD. This little Server ROCKS as hell, I have used it for File Storage and Media Server (which it was made for), now it is laying around doing nothing.

Any chance I could install Ubuntu server on the hd on another machine? Then install the drive and have it boot. I don't have a vga mod on mine and want to make a home assistant server with it.
