Honestly, though, this is probably one of my favourite channels. Even though I'm not one of those people who can say that I've been watching this channel since its inception (I got on board with Odyssey coinless), I can definitely say that I admire your dedication. Here's hoping 2019 will be even better!

In regards to the "fighting Meta Knight without sword" I think the rumor comes from Superstar and Superstar Ultra. Where you can fight him without it by waiting or getting near him

But seriously, well done on persevering with so many of these runs, some of these challenges seem like absolute nightmares.
I personally prefer restricted-mechanic challenges (No hero shot, no FLUDD hovering), rather than obstacle-avoidance ones (No coins in NSMB2, damageless runs, etc). That's not to say both types aren't impressive to watch, though.
I look forward to seeing what challenges you come up with for season 2!
