UJ Confucius Institute Seminar on The Future of Africa-China Relations: Conclusions from FOCAC 2018 Part I

On 11 October 2018, the UJ Confucius Institute convened a seminar under the theme of ‘The future of Africa-China Relations: Conclusions from FOCAC 2018’, speakers included Professor Messay Mulutega of Addis Ababa University, Dr Westen Shilaho of University of Johannesburg, Dr David Monyae of the University of Johannesburg Confucius Institute, Mr Chalimba Phiri of Heron Consulting and Oxfam Pan Africa, and Mr Bongane Gasela of the University of Johannesburg Confucius Institute. A lively Q&A took place between the speakers and the diverse audience, which included professionals, students, business community and academia.
