There are disparities in health outcomes between African-Americans and African-Africans: this difference has implicated diet ie. Standard American Diet vs. a traditional plant-based diet. My question to you: what are the rates of MM in populations whose diet is mainly a traditional plant-based diet (Older Okinawans or Africas)?
