Fun Fact:
Steve Harvey used to run a comedy club in Dallas, TX. He was the house host. He would book comedians to headline the shows, then go up and do 1 HOUR of comedy right before he brought them to the stage. (Which is a professional no-no.)
But what's worse than that is...Steve would record ALL the shows, then later go back & review the tapes, & steal jokes from the other acts he had booked. EVERYBODY complained about it, but what could they do?

I could relate to Bernie Mac's jokes because I had similar experiences in my childhood and early adult life. Bernie reminded me of some of my adult relatives telling stories at family gatherings. Sometimes my mother would make us leave the room because she didn't want us to hear the story. She would say "Grown folks are talking, go outside and play". That meant the story was going to be really good!

I remember seeing Bernie Mac live on the original Def Comedy Jam tour in Anaheim and Bernie and Chris Tucker were my two favorite along with Arnes J and on the ladies side it was Adele Givens. Steve Harvey use to be the host of the “Showtime at the Apollo” tv show but I never considered him in the same league as Bernie Mac.

Bernie Mac is 🐐🐐🐐. Go look back at his show, go look back at his stand-ups, I truly believe he was the most complete comedian/ actor. It wasn't just about being funny... He was dropping gems - advanced wisdom hidden in plain sight. It's the wisdom that far outweighs the laughs.... Bernie was like a role model we trusted because we KNEW he was cut from a similar cloth. RIP to the 👑 MAC MAN👑
