I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

These IAM members don't know a good deal when they see it - a substantial increase in pay; a bonus for crippling not only a company, but its non-union employees who many are losing their jobs, Boeing's customers, suppliers and local economies; and a very generous 401K program whereby members can manage their own retirement. Holding out for a pension plan is not only greedy, but foolish. Two things I know: I'd never want a union member as a friend since they don't give a damn what happens to others based on their actions and I'd never own a company if there was a strong possibility of a union infiltrating my business.

Looks like another layoff coming plus alot of law suits coming from the families that lost loved ones flying on Boeing planes that fall apart losing engines, doors and wheels and de pressurizing cabin problems.

How about build an airplane with 100% quality?

What I don't understand about Unions is that they are quite prepared to destroy the company their members work for, so they end up with nothing. All these strikes do is force airlines to go to Boeings' rivals and buy their aircraft.

Don't blame inflation on the machinists. They're just trying to survive inflation like the rest of us.

IAM, if you get what you want, make it worth it. BUILD IT RIGHT AND PUT THE QUALITY BACK IN YOUR WORK!

If Amazon is such a factor in making everything go up, why don't the workers quit Boeing and go work at an Amazon warehouse.

Boeing is a great place to work when compared to Amazon. This IAM should be helping Amazon workers rather than these people from Boeing. Back in the days the machinist were professionals, but now they are picked up from the streets and brought in as apprentice, most of them.
Different times
Different generations.

Boeing please Fire these greedy workers & hire workers who actually WORK. Machinist who know how to bolt a freaking aircraft door correctly.

I know of people that lost everything because pensions are company backed. So if a company was ever to go out of business or sell that money disappears. That’s why the 401k is safer.

As a union member i am very aware the pension coming back is never happening. Those that demand it are delusional. Get wages up and keep healthcare down and keep the 401k and match. If it wasnt 12% wage increase first year and instead was a 40% raise with 25% right now it may have had a chance. The pension is a lost cause

The pension never coming back. Why people want the pension back when they know the pension never come back. Why don’t there forces on other thing OMG. Right now there don’t have no job no income . The Union and Boeing don’t loose anything. People that strikes loose income.

The Boeing IAM union will not get there pensions back, and the longer this strike goes on at the end the union will be lucky to even have a job.To put this in perspective the Boeing union is asking for more money from a company that is on the verge of bankruptcy. Boeing may just close down that facility and lay everyone off. What do you think. ??? Thanks

Pensions are not a thing anymore. That will not be on the table. Major companies don’t offer that. If you don’t like that then leave Boeing. 🤷‍♂️

At this point, machinist are getting greedy. Maybe its time to lay off 60 % of them who rejected the offer and rebuild their force with a 3 year plan. There are plenty for machinist in the US that would be willing to work for average 110K salary with amazing benefits and join Boeing
