Growing Ramps in Containers (and a few words on sustainability)

This video is an update of the 200 gallon fabric container that we planted with ramp bulbs that we purchased online last fall.

Ramps are a fantastic container plant, and here are the results of that planting just 6 months (ish) later!

Thank you for this video, and especially thank you for pointing out that people can (and should!) be planting the root-end of their harvested ramps :D I've never seen one in person or tasted them, but if I did stumble across them at any point, the first thing I'd be doing would be to plant them in my garden and propogate them from there, spreading seeds and roots back into wild areas they enjoy.

This is the most informative video I’ve seen on growing ramps. A few years ago, I went looking for information about ramps… there was very limited information compared to now. People are very tight lipped and guarded when it comes to ramps. I suspect because it is a high priced crop. I buy ramps from a farmers market every spring. Based on the abundance of and uniformity of the crop, I surmised that these were not being foraged, definitely farmed.

I feel like I am a year late, but... Do you leave the top that you cut exposed when you plant it? Or do you bury it into the soil? And if you put it in the soil, how far do you bury it? Thanks for the info!
