The Porsche Taycan Turbo, which translates to 'Spirited Young Horse’ in Turkish, is Porsche's first fully electric vehicle after the highly praised Mission E concept. The Porsche Taycan Turbo offers a sleek, elegant and futuristic design in appearance, in keeping with other Porsche model features and harnesses technologies from the Le Mans-winning 919 race car, which becomes evident in the performance data.

The Taycan Turbo executes a 0-62 time in 3.2 seconds and will continue to 99mph in 6.9 seconds. These figures are extremely impressive considering the Taycan Turbo has a weight of around 2,305kg (unladen) due to the front and rear motors and batteries. Cornering speed is no issue either due to the batteries sitting low in the car, providing a low centre of gravity. The power steering is equally impressive and provides the driver with a direct feel to the road, providing you with the maximum level of confidence.

Along with high performance, comfort comes paramount with any Porsche model. The Taycan Turbo is no exception to this. The ride feel is smooth and as silent as you need it to be, which is just one of the benefits of electric vehicles. Very good run through. I’ve got a Jet Black 4S+ with gloss black window frames and the Turbo Aero wheels myself and it’s a killer. Also I haven’t got the sun roof and the exterior really benefits from the bubble metal roof and the head room is also better without the panorama roof as the rear structural bar sits just right above your head when leaning it on the head rest on the glass roofed cars.

Also you should’ve mentioned the range is better on the 4S+ due to a smaller motors up front than the Turbo and in the case of the Turbo S, also the rear motor is larger and the 21” wheels with 305 section tyres that suck more e-juice to roll. The best range Taycan would be a 4S+ with the 19” wheels which can easily do 300 miles of range and maybe 320 if you baby it. I’ve managed 305 miles on my 4S+.

Also, one should be aware of when speccing one of the 3 cool looking 21" wheels, you end up with Good Year F1’s or Continental rubber. On the 20"s you get the great performing 285 section Michelin PS4 tyres which just rock on any surface.

The passenger screen is a no go and the electric charging port blocks the side vents with a piece of black plastic which is unfortunate for optimum airflow.

Other than that, great video! And after 8000kms in the Taycan I can truly say it’s the best CAR on sale today, ICE or EV alike. It’s just MEGA!🥇

Some inner voice tells me the 4s more than enough. Especially because they all look pretty similar. Another voice tells me "always take the best".

Thank you for introducing the differences of each model in detail. I've always struggled to seperate the Porsche entry one, S, GTS, Turbo, Turbo S models. Nowadays it's quite easy to tell AMG and M cars from exterior but Porsche didn't design the top end models to look special.

I am in the market for either a Tesla model S or a Taycan. To many people’s surprise, my heart is set on the S at the moment.
I am borrowing a Taycan 4S for a couple of days to be sure. But I’m suspecting that most people who would choose the Porsche is because it’s how they want to be seen while make quality claims against Tesla. I’m aiming for the best all rounder.
My business partner and I have owned several Teslas and have never found build quality to be enough of a problem to offset the benefits.

Love the Taycan Turbo S but as a family of 5 with a dog it’s useless, the Macan is going 100% EV, hopefully the Cayenne will follow. Great video as per usual 👏👏👏
