After becoming the first female commercial astronaut on a Virgin Galactic flight in February 2019, AAE alumna Beth Moses was awarded Commercial Astronaut Wings by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Moses showed off her wings during a visit to Purdue University as a keynote speaker for the Amelia Earhart Aerospace Summit in 2019.

The School of Aeronautics and Astronautics is part of Purdue University's College of Engineering and prepares students to be exceptional, recognized contributors to aeronautical and astronautical engineering in industry, government laboratories and universities.
