Yesterday and today were beautiful, no VOG or ash due to the tradewinds blowing to the south west. The vents down in lower Puna and Leilani Estates are getting more active and fluid with fountaining around 500 feet, so exciting to watch on TV. Mike won't drive me down there, says it is too soon and could hurt my eyes or lungs. I hope I can convince him to visit nearby Pahoa in a few days for a Mexican lunch. We shall see. ;)

Has anybody else wondered why Hawaii missile defence went off by accident in January. Then I seen an article in February saying that the big island is ready to have a massive land slide causing a mega tsunami. Now a couple months later the volcano is going off in an unexpected way. I wonder if there is not more going on with the volcano then what has been told to the public.

That volcano is putting out more CO2 and heat than a Toyota Prius. We got out of the Paris climate accord in the nick of time....we would have been charged a substantial penalty for going over our allocated emissions.
Thank you President Trump for foreseeing this.
