Thanks for the yeswelder plasma cutter. As a result I ordered that same unit directly from Yeswelder as they had a promo code giving a 30% off an already lower price, plus free shipping. I am new to the metal works, having been an accomplished woodcrafter for over 30 years. Thought it time to do something I’ve always wanted to learn. Being 78 your never to, old to learn. Thanks again I am a huge fan of your channel. Signed The Old Student!

Just watched this video again (maybe the fourth time?😳) It is such a good comprehensive video with all of the pertinent information you need. No annoying music is a huge bonus. Just clear concise info from a guy that cares! Bravo!

Once again you have come to my rescue! Hadnt used my plasma cutter for quite some time and as a result I had forgotten everything about it! Your video brought all the info I needed to go at it again. Many thanks!

Great video for a guy that’s getting a cutter and has zero experience. Thanks!

Im a newbi here with my first plasma cutter, one comment when cutting out a shape or shortening a piece of metal, use the guide clamped to the part you want to keep. The guide will protect the piece from any wobbles like the demo cutting angle iron, the guide was on the wrong side and his vertical cut took out metal from where it was needed.
2nd tip. Want to cut a perfect round hole. Get a thick washer and center it over the place for the hole. Just weld it through the center to the base metal, then using the plasma cutter, go around the washer keeping gentle pressure against the washer and down on the job.
The hole will be perfect if you keep the tip vertical. The washed dia plus the tip diameter equals the hole size. Its that simple.

I have never used a plasma cutter but by watching your instructional video I think it would be worth a try! Have used a oxy-acetylene torch and an air arc and now all I have to cut steel with is a cut-off disc (4.5")or a sawzall since I retired. Thank you for putting your videos on youtube for us to learn from!

I’ve never heard a better explanation on plasma. You’re a natural teacher. Thanks

Great video tutorial. I just bought a Vevor Cut50P because I had a lot of 1/4" plate to cut for a project. My pancake compressor ran all the time so I added a 5-gal portable tank and now my compressor usually remains off until I'm finished with the cut. I really appreciate your table of amps, air and material thickness. Nothing like it in my owners so it's a big help.

I know how to use a cutter. Just always touch on the basics from time to time. But you are really good at tutorials from a beginners standpoint.

Plasma Cutter! Where have you been all my life? What a wonderful tool. The contortions I went thru to remove some metal are now a distant memory. Thanks for filling in the unknowns and teaching me some technique. Your video is great for rookies like me.

Love your videos. As a former teacher you do an excellent job addressing all learning styles. Students pursuing a vocational/trade school education would benefit from your experience and teaching ability. I recommend your videos to all students interested in welding.

I have tremendous respect for people who explain how things are SUPPOSED to be done(and why), while also explaining how things CAN be done(and why not). It’s more information overall, but I think it should definitely be the norm. It’s the worst when people just tell you to do something, especially when it’s the latter, and only works in some situations, so you get to a different situation and wonder what the hell’s wrong.

Thank you, Brandon - extremely well presented, no waffling, no nonsense. Clear demonstration of basic operations. Not planning on cutting armour plating here, but for "normal thickness metals a small unit looks like a worthwhile investment. No angle grinder noise, and NO dust. Thanks again - will hit "Subscribe" in a second 😊

Yeah, I'v ruined saw blades and drill bits when using bed frames for welding practice, now I use the plasma cutter and can use it to punch bolt holes or cut the frames. Thanks for your video it is a great one.

Brandon, just a follow up on my plasma cutter. It was interesting. I have a CUT 50P that I got about three years ago. I took your ideas from you video and I found two problems. 1. The electrode was nice and tight but the electrode cover was a little loose. 2. Where the plasma cutter torch connects with the actual machine was quite loose. I tightened it up. After that, my plasma cutter works great. I haven't had any problems getting the plasma part starting up after the high frequency starts and I'm close enough to the material I'm cutting the plasma comes on and I'm cutting. So thank you very much. Watching you welding and plasma videos have been a great help in learning to fabricate metal.

Got one a few months ago and glad I did. I used to go through so many cutting wheels. Bit of a learning curve to this like anything else, but it doesn't take long to get the hang of it.
