What gets me is she wasn’t trying to enter illegally, she was applying for a visa and she was arrested. What happened to just refusing her entry, requiring her to return to Mexico and find her own way home? Maybe I get it, private detention center wouldn’t have been able to charge for her stay?

I am Canadian and In 2000 I went to Delaware to Visit friends for Christmas. For the New Year, I went to New York then to Toronto by train.
On my way back to New York. I was taken off the train, by Immigration, because I resembled someone who they suspected had entered
the country Illegally. I was questioned and finger printed, then let go after one hour. My Canadian Passport and my Driver's License did not
matter to them. Because that was the last train, I had to stay overnight in Niagara, at my cost. which included dinner and taxis. I realized
that reason for my detention was because of my name. In the Passport, your country of birth is mentioned and they would have noticed
that I was not from a Muslim country. Just shows that the Americans are not very knowledgeable about their jobs or Human Rights.

Canadian here. I am done travelling to the States. Our government should be posting a travel advisory against travel to the USA. Far too dangerous, in more ways than one.

She had her visa cancelled first back in last November (flag 1), then she applied for TN under a dubious occupation, "consultant" (flag 2) which was always heavily scrutinized by US CBP even before trump as president. She received lawyer's advice against going to the US Mexico border to apply for TN, but she acted against lawyer's advice (flag 3). She should have had an immigration lawyer submitting TN petition through USCIS instead of heading to the border to apply. Even she wanted to apply at the border, she should apply at US Canada border, not US Mexico border. She applied under the company she founded with a questionable occupation, it was just a perfect storm for her.

I don't understand because she never entered the US - your technically not admitted until CBP allows you in. So how was she "in the country illegally"?

Abc you can blame trump all you want but this lady from canada was denied entry do to her in possession of drugs and than she tried to enter the us through Mexico, America had every right to detain her by ice- tell the whole story to your viewers please
