Introducing the all-new e*thirteen Sidekick hubs and Grappler Flux rims.

Sidekick hubs isolate the drivetrain from the rear suspension, eliminating pedal kickback and improving rider speed, control, grip, and comfort on descents.

Grappler Flux rims deliver the durability that racers trust, with engineered compliance for more grip and comfort in a low-profile design.

Awesome idea, I wonder how many 'old' suspension designs were actually fantastic but for kickback. Well worth revisiting, I'm definitely sold on the engineering👍

Ooo, I love this. Perfect for single pivots.

*2024:* We just have to have high pivot on our bikes... Uhm, we mean *_you_* have to have it on *_your_* bike.

*e*thirteen:* Hold my beer.

Very interesting product, definitely seems to be an improvement on the downhill experience. I wonder how much it will affect the engagement and pedal response on the uphill, though.

Just looked on your website, what a great bit of kit, no wonder its sold out, well done to the engineers and designers, cant have been easy, I'd imagine its a complete game changer downhill. Right, im off to hammer my wheels so i can justify buying myself a set of these😊

Amazing engineering and great to see serviceability! Although bike manufacturers moving to high pivot designs for this, is by product as it mainly for the j path movement (up and back) for square edged hits and marginal gains

Go faster, hub turns away from the pawls quicker than the suspension can twist the hub…? No? Genuine question no experience of kick back, 140 rear travel and low tooth engagement hub. Me no undystandy problemy

If these prove to be actually durable they sound like an excellent step up

Im down for the flux rims, I might pair them with a set of Onyx hubs.
I wish they make the hub in a very low degree / quick engagement for the regular weekend warrior that likes to pedal the bike uphill. It look like the product is strictly dedicated to downhill and hardcore enduro.
Could be an adjustment piece like the one they have for 12, 15, 18 degrees but just with a standard 3 degree or so 👍👍👍.

My concern with this is it's yet more additional unsprung mass at the rear wheel - in addition to the massive cassettes + e-shifters.

Motorsport invests a fortune in reducing unsprung to find grip...yet the world of mtb is increasing unsprung mass with every innovation.

Ride a gearbox bike DH and the suspension performance will blow your mind.

Explain to me how when you’re coasting down a hill, not pedaling, the upper chain is slapping up and down, and is slack. If the rear wheel were truly pulling on our cranks, shouldn’t that chain be taught?

Looks like a cool product, but my previous e13 hub gave me a lot of grief so I'll wait and see how these hold up.

All I could think while watching this was "this must be the guy from 'how to buy a MTB'" sounds exactly like him

When the top 10 DH racers all use the same tech, there is no longer any advantage.
This hub tech would benifit older DH bikes with kickback so lets hope it becomes an inexpensive upgrade for many, not the few.

Is this beneficial for someone who doesn’t ride DH? Flat-ish terrain with short ups and downs where quick engagement is very helpful on the tech climbs.

Hopefully developed not only for working in laboratory like the shimano scylence😅

Ok you got me! Can I bolt on your integrated cassette or do I need to buy another one for my DH 7 speed?
