The Rumble in the Jungle was a historic boxing event in Kinshasa, Zaire (now Democratic Republic of the Congo) on October 30, 1974 (at 4:00 am). Held at the 20th of May Stadium (now the Stade Tata Raphaël), it pitted the undefeated world heavyweight champion George Foreman against challenger Muhammad Ali, a former heavyweight champion. The attendance was 60,000. Ali won by knockout, putting Foreman down just before the end of the eighth round. It has been called "arguably the greatest sporting event of the 20th century". The event was one of Don King's first ventures as a professional boxing promoter.

Muhammad Ali’s eyes tell the whole story in this fight. You can see the intensity in them, never losing focus. Just sticking to the game plan like the champion he is.

This fight is one of the greatest fights in boxing history, but Mohammed Ali speech after the fight is much more greater. Nothing but respect to the man Ali was, may Allah give him place in heaven.

Muhammad Ali was an excellent character (both inside and above all outside the ring); he did a lot for everyone he fought for the rights of blacks; he refused to wear a uniform to go fight in Vietnam; he helped 2 people who were about to commit suicide; he went to Saddam Houssein and had 15 American prisoners released; and so we would need another character right now that the world is going from bad to worse!!
Rest in peace champion!!!!

The great man's combination of punches and then the spin to move away from Foreman as he falls, that finish was beautiful. That he doesn't throw another punch (as many fighters would have done) as Foreman was on his way down was also class.

Ali knew exactly when to concentrate his punches and kowck F. down. That's genius.
So much more intelligent, subtle, nimble, mobile, quick, skilled, better defending
and attcaking, like a cat fighting a robot. The comentator saying 'very even fight' just
a second before the knock down is willful delusion. Not for a moment was it equal.

It's weird how The Commentators we're downplaying what Foreman was doing but then I remember how much of a Underdog Ali was and That Foreman didn't slam punches when they clinched up but Foreman probably didn't have too much experience getting excessively clinched and having his head pulled down. The loose ropes and Ref pulling them apart really quickly also makes it harder. Though I'm a fan of Ali and do see this as a valid win but I also feel bad for George. (Many of the Greatest fighters had their ways of bending the rules and using their environment to their advantage it could be said it's their opponents corner who have press the issues and wisen up to what is happening)

The strategy of his style of boxing is legendary. Ali set the tone for future heavyweights to develop patience and stamina against any opponent. It's only a matter of time till the other guy gets "punch drunk". R.I.P. Cassius Clay, a.k.a.: Muhammad Ali - The Greatest 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

The great man, indeed. This win was like something out of a movie. Teddy Atlas has a story about advice that another great man, Cus D'Amato, gave Ali before the fight. Worth listening to.
