I have that formula printed out, but they just said to measure from the withers to the bottom of the chest and I was ending up with little tiny pigs. Thank you so much, I will try it again the correct way.

I always calculate weight with a string. You measure girth at the chest, then measure length from between the ears to the butt of the tail. Take those two numbers and plug them into the formula "heart girth X heart girth X length ÷ 400 = weight". If your weight calculates to under 150lbs, add 7 to the total. I have also used a tailors/seamstress tape.

They had a bacterial infection. Treated Paula with Panalog from the Vet and Chicker with Colloidal Silver. Chickers cleared up so much quicker. Ended up finishing treatment for Paula with C.S.

the livestock auction spots use a platform scale. you can build one with a pallet and 2 or more bathroom scales. just remember to add all of the scale numbers together. might be easier on the back. once you injure your back it is a long road back. (used to help the neighbor rassle pigs when required.) much easier to deal with small ones than the 100 plus pounders. still remember the pain involved with that one 200 plus lb'r that managed to hide during castration/ I teeth cut day. ouch

I would have picked up the pig and stood on a bathroom scale and then subtracted my weight...course my scale probably doesn't go high enough :)
