In this video, I share some of my earliest and more restrictive journal covers and ideas on how to move toward a fun, flexible, more limitless cover. Journal signatures are easy - covers take a bit of thought. I hope you enjoy! Comment below if you have a request for the next video and don’t forget to share and click subscribe. ❤️

In this video I have mentioned a number of products and people. I would like to give them credit here and share product links:

Sheila Gingerich can easily be found where Facebook Bohodaydreams lives. She has a YouTube channel bohoDaydreamsSheila.

Barbara Easter creates some of the most beautiful projects I’ve seen and she is on Facebook and in Sheila’s group.

Karen Anderson has a Facebook profile Vintage Elegance Inspiration and that is also her YouTube channel name

Lokta paper can most easily be found Etsy. Look for Himalayan Handmade Lokta. It is very inexpensive.

My feeling is enjoy the process. Don’t overthink, don’t over analyze, don’t compare, just create….make it your way and no one else’s.

I LOVE the overstuffed Journal. It adds to the overall aesthetic to me. There's something about that gator mouth that says - I'm so full of magic, I can't be contained.

Wonderful information Andrea! Staggering the lace inside your signature, even along the edges is something I never thought about, thank you!!! :)

These covers are beautiful! I make my journals backwards…I make the signatures and then make the cover to fit.

Wow, one of the best videos I've seen yet and I've been watching youtube videos for junk journals for over 3 years, daily (I think that might really be my hobby, lol). Thank you Andrea. I subbed a few days ago and of course big thumbs up!

Such wonderful explanations and ideas, thank you so much for sharing them. Your journals are all so beautiful. I had to rewatch this as the first time I fell asleep... nothing at all to do with your video.. promise... I'm just exhausted trying to keep up with a 4 month grand baby who doesn't want to sleep lol.

Oh wow all the covers are amazing. I love chunky journals and I too overstuff them as well, the thicker the better.

What a great tutorial...and i love the fat, chunky journals. They look more used and loved somehow.
The lace on the page edges is inspired 💜

I am so glad I watched this! I love the way you thought this through, in terms of presentation. You are organized, articulate, and point out the most relevant and useful details of your process. What an outstanding tutorial. I’m subscribing and looking forward to learning MORE.❤

I have been journal making for 8 or so years now.... and have to agree with you regarding deciding on the size of journal cover and what you want to use it for!!! Like you.... when I first began I seemed to always finish up with a 'gator-mouthed' journal!!! I have learnt from all my experiments and materials used what I use and when!!! You definitely echo my experience!!! Always love what you do.... and gain inspiration in so many ways!! Thank you Andrea for you outstanding I keep on coming back to see what else you have on your list!!!! I thought I had already subscribed.... but I discovered I hadn't!!! I have now amended that oversight!!! hehehehehe!!! Keep up the good work!!

New subbie here. I needed to hear this advice! I am a habitual overstuffer. And I want to get away from playing it safe. Great video! Thank-you!
