Alex needs to learn that clicking the damn pen in front of the mic is not good for your listeners...

Rooney is a 30-year-old who plays as if he was 35. He'll play one more year, break Charlton's record and be done with it. He'll retire from England, and be done at United. That's what I imagine will happen.

Alex mate, you look abit like Griezmann.

Should have Martial, Mata, Mkhitaryan as the 3 behind the main striker

Rooney can't be a starting player for us anymore. The fact he's the captain is seriously depressing. He's finished, I love him but he's finished.

Rooney has been a great player for utd. I do think he is well past his best. if he is willing to play from the bench, then he could still be a talismanic asset. but.. a first team player for utd, no.

I respect Rooney on one hand for the goals he has scored for us. But he has also used the club twice by threating to leave, and know Rooney has lost what pace he had, he is no longer a out and out forward, not a No.10 in my eyes and not a central midfielder, so I would sell Rooney for the right price.

Rooney doesn't have a best position. He's not the same guy anymore had a very good career but his time is near.

Great video lads. Thank you for being honest as usual. It's taken me a long time to give up on Rooney because like Carrick he was part of our last title winning side but enough is enough. When i see the likes of Pereira rotting on the sidelines while Wayne blasts shot over shot into the stands i get pretty fed up.

John Terry was the captain at Chelsea and he got drop for Kouma, Mourinho can be very ruthless if he sees you're not cutting the mustard.

mikitariyan is best on the right 40+ direct contributions to goals in one season

Messi has plenty left in his tank and he retired from international football but Rooney hasn't got much left and he's being stubborn with the international scene.

Rooney hasn't had the best of seasons but it doesn't mean tear down every thing he has done for United and England and he won't ruin United whenever he plays.

We haven't been linked to him, but I think Pereyra from Juventus would be a fantastic fit.
Any thoughts on that?

Sadly he has passed his sell by date and cant justify £300 grand per week, To inconsistent, Has one good game out of three, Ide replace him, But got a feeling Mourinho may keep him for a period and give him a chance to prove him self

I don't think Rooney has played consistently well for a long time, but I can't see Mourinho selling him because he's a player that he's always liked. I think Rooney's best option would be to try out in the 2 man midfield in front of the back 4 competing with Schneiderlin, Carrick and Schweinsteiger. If it were up to me I would move him on, but I think United will keep him.

if we want to win the title, which we should be challenging for, Rooney needs to give way to United's future.

Everyone's replaceable. Beckham, Van Nistelrooy and Van der say all looked irreplaceable at one time, but they all left and got replaced, that's how football works.
Last season when Rooney was banned or injured, our team looked better and more fluid because he wasn't there to slow play down or lose possession! I love Rooney like every united fan does, but he's costing us money, and he's costing us games its not acceptable.
