How to Get a PERFECT SLIPSTREAM in F3 #f1 #racing #howto

How to get the perfect slipstream in an F3 car at Spa-Francorchamps. It all starts with the distance you set before starting the quali lap. In this case, the 1st car ahead of me was way too close, but I knew he had just finished his own push lap and was likely to move out of the way to cool his own tires. The car ahead of him was at the PERFECT distance for a mild tow up the hill in S1, but not too close for the high speed aero dependent sector 2. Then in sector 3, I got extra lucky and he slowed down early to give me a power slipstream before the final chicane which gives me better braking performance being in clean air. Did you know there was a strategy to getting the perfect slipstream?

Slip streaming is the same as sailing....when you find the perfect wind/tide ratio you slip into a channel...easy sailing
