Was watching this and the other and noticed that you all were traveling and scoping out property the same time we were. We were in NE, SD, WY, CO and KS. The Great Plains are beautiful! However, the lack of resources doesn’t make sense; low annual precipitation, lack of wood for heat source, water is only deep underground... the land’s relatively inexpensive, but it’s not a self-sustainable venture. IA and MO offer the most for frontier states. It just makes sense to settle these areas.

Speak with banks on building loans. It’s eye opening.

Seriously consider a ranch style, we're months away from 70, retired and wonder why we built a 2 story back in 1986. Our backyard is a bean field this year, the village is 1400, everyone waves 👋 we're in our own heaven.

I'm from outside of St Louis about a half hour this is a good area as well All woodsy type areas and very laid back. The city is kind of crazy about like Kansas City but where I'm at is pretty mellow and we get lots of shooting done out here and our laws for guns are very relaxed

You are totally right about running away from the prairie. Everyone wants too when they are teens, and then if they stay they will stay forever. Its something that no one has. Its like a hidden secret that everyone sees but does not actually see.

My wife is from Kentucky and we travel there often. I can confirm that Tennessee has the worst damn potholes in Appalachia every time we pass through it.

Happy to see 2 young ones starting out...im old (64) with health issues and a widower for the past years..Ive been in a daily "should i go home to AZ" or stay in my GF (65) in a retired nurse from Minnesota who hates snow and can believe the winters in TX....Im freezing at 45 and she is in shorts. ...we stayed in TX better doctors and worlds biggest medical center is in Houston....now we have open carry like AZ its ok. We have 3 Maine Coons cats and take care of 10 or so homeless she says home is where the kitties
You guys and Hickok 45 are my fav online goto for turned me into a CZ guy.
